About Attorney Samantha J. Emro

Growing up surrounded by small, family-owned businesses in Central Wisconsin, Sam knows firsthand the ​importance of a strong working legal relationship in scaling business success. Leading with her years of ​experience in business, real estate, and law, Sam’s path to establishing Emro Law, LLC was non-traditional. ​This sets her apart from other attorneys, as she aims to merge the fields of business and law with practical, ​insightful, and honest legal guidance.

Sam received a J.D., cum laude, with a Certificate in Law and Business from Mitchell Hamline School of Law ​and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (where she met her husband Michael on the first ​day of class!) Rather than pursuing the traditional, fast-tracked law degree, Sam pursued practical experience ​working for several years at a midsized law firm where she administered trusts and estates. Throughout law ​school, she continued her non-traditional path serving as a commercial real estate appraiser with a local ​valuation and consulting firm. As an associate appraiser she worked with business owners and other market ​participants to provide objective, USPAP compliant valuations of both residential and commercial real estate.

Her practical experience provides her with the unique ability to review the inner workings of what drives a ​transaction from a legal and a business lens. This provides Emro Law with a unique and practical approach, ​offering maximum value via one aligned and efficient legal team.

As an attorney, she has worked in a large corporate firm where she focused her practice on real estate and ​corporate matters. Primarily transactional work, Sam assisted clients with entity formation, contract ​negotiation, leases, mergers and acquisitions, title assessments, and zoning and land issues. She has also ​served as in-house counsel for an East Coast energy company, assisting with valuations, developments, and ​mergers and acquisitions as head of their real estate team.

Outside of the office, Sam and her husband Michael enjoy spending time in the outdoors with their two ​children and their labrador retriever.

Emro Law offers services remotely ​throughout Wisconsin, having a physical ​presence in the Fox Valley and Wausau.
